Team Effort to Control and Monitor Rep Access

Primary HPOC

The Pharmacy Manager is the Primary Hospital Point of Contact.

Only the Pharmacy Manager can authorise hospital staff to be added as Secondary HPOCs (GateKeepers).

Click here to submit application for gatekeepers.

Secondary HPOCs (GateKeepers)

A Gatekeeper is a clinical or non-clinical staff member within the hospital facility who regularly interacts with Company Representatives (CRs) and is therefore able to Control and Monitor Access into the Hospital Facility.

Gatekeepers are able access their own HPOC account to view all features that allows them to control and monitor rep access.

  • If the CR does not appear, this is considered unauthorised access and you may deny access
  • If the CR does have a valid access card but forgot to check-in, then click on the QR Code tab in the HPOC app to allow a quick check in but remind the CR to commence the scanning journey from the pharmacy in future.

Verified and Approved Supplier Companies

CRICE provides an added layer of protection for hospital facilities by ensuring that all supplier companies are thoroughly vetted and approved before they are permitted to register their representatives.

Primary HPOC or Gatekeepers can easily verify a company’s status on the CRICE system by clicking on the ‘Verify Company Certificate’ tab and enter the supplier’s company name or CRICE certificate number.

This certificate only confirms that the company meets compliance requirements. It does not replace the need for each company representative (CR) to complete their individual CRICE training.

Verify if a CR has a valid CRICE Digital Access Card

HPOC & Gatekeepers can verify if a CRICE Rep has a valid Digital Access Card.

  • Click on 'Check Learner Status' tab,
  • Enter the CR’s email address or the CR registration number to confirm if the CR has a valid CRICE Digital Access Card.

CRICE Appointment Booking System(CABS)

CRs can book appointments with clinical and non-clinical staff using the booking system. Under the 'Appointments' tab HPOC's and Gatekeepers are able to view:

  • All CR's appointments made with all clinical and non-clinical people within the hospital
  • Names of products sold by CR.
  • Reason for visit.
  • Use the search function to filter by representative name.
  • The 'My Calendar' tab allows HPOCs and Gatekeepers to view bookings by date, making it easy to track upcoming visits.

HPOC's and Gatekeepers are strongly encouraged to review below CRICE  Appointment Booking System(CABS) tutorial :

Level of Access

The ‘Level of Access’ tab contains an algorithm with a series of questions requiring Yes-No responses and which then immediately outputs what course the CR would need to complete in order to have the correct level of access within the hospital facility.

CRICE General course is for White Area access only, CRICE Excluding Sterile Field course allows blue area access and CRICE Including Sterile Field course allows green area access.
