Fathima Amod, from Masoom Training Solutions, explaining the new CRICE Access Card at a recent meeting hosted by SAMED.

Guest speaker, Anita Hamilton from Netcare Hospital Group explained the new requirements for Company Representatives’ (CR) to access Netcare facilities including signing of a confidentiality agreement, confirmation of immunity status and declaration of CR competency in their respective speciality.

These Netcare requirements have been incorporated into the Company Representative in the Clinical Environment (CRICE) programme. CRICE is a SAMED initiative that is the industry standard for professionals representing medical device companies and is administered by Masoom Training Solutions.

A primary outcome of successful completion of the CRICE programme is the generation of a CRICE ACCESS CARD confirming that Netcare requirements have been met and providing a form of identification and validation of the company representative.

As of 1 April 2015, Company Representatives will not be permitted into Netcare facilities unless they present their CRICE Access Card. Until the 31st March 2015, Company Representatives are required to present their CRICE Certificate for entry into theatre.

30 November 2011: Berlin Germany; MTS invited to speak at the 17th International Conference on Technology Supported Learning & Training.

Fathima Amod, Managing Director of Masoom Training Solutions, released research results at the 17th International Conference on Technology Supported Learning & Training. MTS conducted research on the effectiveness of e-learning as a training methodology for HIV/AIDS.Ms Amod indicated that results from the pilot study are indicating that e-learning is more than just an effective delivery of information platform in that it may potentially influence behaviour change more so than conventional awareness campaigns. Based on this pilot data, a larger, long term study will commence in a high risk group in June 2012.
